Berlin could hardly show a more colourful side: Numerous groups of different nationalities present music, dance, performance, visual arts and acrobatics on moving floats at the Berlin Carnival of Cultures 2024 (May 17-20th, 2024).
Over four days of the festival, Berliners and tourists will experience the capital from its best side: cosmopolitan and international, dynamic and lively, diverse and colourful. Since 1995, over 500,000 people have celebrated the city's colourful mix every year at Pentecost.
Over 5,000 actors from almost all parts of the world usually take part. From Brazilian samba to Chinese lion dance, from West African drums to Bernese carnival brass, the carnival groups impressively prove that Berlin's treasure is diversity and internationality. In addition to the four-day street festival, the parade is the highlight of the carnival.
