Volkswagen Group Presents its Brand at DRIVE

The Special Exhibit "The Fascination of Sports Cars – The Future of Performance" shows the Innovation and the Charm of the Brand

From the 18th of March until the 12th of June, for the first time Volkswagen Group presents itself with products highlight from all 12 Group brands and Volkswagen Financial Services AG under one roof in Berlin.

For three months, each month different brands belonging to the Volkswagen Group will be presented and a particular issue in mobility will be explored. The exhibition presents digital and interactive tools to show the present and the future of the Group. In the month of June, DRIVE will be dedicated to Porsche and selected models will be shown in order to present how they remain as fascinating as when they were built. Each model preserves in fact the typical Porsche characteristics made famous this brand, like sportiness, engineering, design, agility and safety.

The aim of the exhibition is not selling but informing people on the quality of the brand, showing them the company’s automotive financial services and mobility products.

People can drive different models of the Volkswagen Group in an open exhibition, included Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Ducati, available to be tested. Furthermore, there are areas where the history of these brands is described through an illustration in which mobility, urban research and sustainable living concepts are depicted as the main principles of the brand.

Another exhibition area is home to permanent highlight exhibits and there are also special exhibitions and cultural events open to the public all year. Furthermore, the building has some multifunctional meeting, seminar and conference rooms in which Volkswagen events can be held. 

The Volkswagen Group, headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany, is one of the world’s leading automobile manufactures and the largest carmaker in Europe. It has 119 production plants in 20 European countries and further 11 countries in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Every day 41,000 vehicles are produced nearly, in order to be sold in 153 countries.

The Group includes twelve brands: Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania and MAN.  

Each of these brands has its own characters and operates on the market independently from the other ones. Volkswagen Group offers every kinds of vehicles, from the low consumption small cars to the luxury cars, included motorcycles. Furthermore, the Group provides manufacturing large-bore diesel engines for marine and stationary applications, turbochargers, turbo-machinery, compressors and chemical reactors, but also vehicle transmissions, special gear units for wind turbines, slide bearings, couplings and testing systems for the mobility sector.

The Volkswagen Group offers also a wide range of financial services like dealer and custumer financing, leasing, banking, insurance activities and fleet management.

In 2014 in Western Europe more than one out of every four new cars is made by the Volkswagen Group.
