January 16th, 2024The International Green Week in Berlin is considered the world's biggest consumer fair for the food, agricultural, and horticultural industries.
The International Green Week is one of the most traditional Berlin trade fairs and one of the best-known events in Germany. The trade fair was established in 1926. Ever since, food producers from all over the world have utilized the IGW to introduce new products, to test market food and establish brand identities. Product presentations are often grouped thematically and are sorted by category, production method or area of origin.
Different Exhibition Halls at the International Green Week
The agricultural exhibition areas and the flower hall with horticulture are located in the southern part of the exhibition grounds under the radio tower. The culinary tour of Germany leads through the western halls around the summer garden. The international food industry is mainly concentrated in the eastern halls of the exhibition area.
Highlight: Flower Hall
In addition to food and beverage stands, the IGW also features commercial and non-commercial agricultural, forestry, and landscaping exhibits. The flower hall of the Green Week is an annual highlight and an absolute must-see for every visitor. In addition to a colorful garden arrangement, a stage program, garden shows and interesting facts about urban gardening are offered. Thousands of early blooming plants will be on display in the flower hall under a central theme.
