Berlin and Portugal Closer than Ever: Interpretation of Pessoas' Verses at Institut Français

News From Berlin - Institut Français, in collaboration with Berlin Mitte Theaterhaus organized the performance "Le Jour Naîtra Bientôt (et nous le regretterions)" to take place on October 30th.
The audience can get a sense of Portugal through Sandrine Nogueira’s performance, which is inspired in famous Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa. The show will take place at the Institut Français and will transport viewers to a parallel world, where everyday objects are interspersed with abstract elements.
The company aims to play with the past, present and future with this event. The work will be completed with the projection of images of landscapes, which will transport the audience into a parallel world.
Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) was a prolific Portuguese poet, writer, literary critic, translator, publisher and philosopher, defined by some experts as one of the most important writers of XXth Century. Among his most important publications are "35 Sonnets" (which was written in English); "Message" (awarded the National Propaganda by the Portuguese Secretary) and the leaflet "Interregnum".
To attend this event, which will take place on October 30th at 20.00 at the Institut Français headquarters (Kurfürstendamm 211), it is necessary to purchase tickets. They will cost between 8 and 10 euros. They can be purchased at the box office until 19.30.
