The Embassy of Angola in Berlin recently hosted an important plenary meeting of the Group of African Ambassadors accredited in Germany. This gathering brought together diplomats and representatives from approximately 30 African nations, namely:  Algeria, Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Cape Verde, Congo Brazaville, Democratic Rep. of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Lesotho, Liberia, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The aim of this meeting was to discuss strategic topics aimed at enhancing relations between African countries and Germany. The focus was on fostering stronger economic, political, and cultural cooperation among the member nations.

During the session, four committees were established to spearhead various areas of collaboration: the Economic and Business Committee, Public and Political Committee, Social and Diaspora Committee, and the Organization Committee for Africa Day—a significant event that celebrates African culture and unity. These committees are set to coordinate joint initiatives and events that underscore shared interests and ambitions.

Presided over by the Dean of the African Ambassadors' Group, Ambassador Igor Cesar of Rwanda, the meeting reinforced the commitment to monthly discussions that promote unity and cooperative action. The next plenary session is scheduled for November, where the Embassy of Angola will again serve as host, continuing its role as a key platform for diplomatic engagement.
