On July 29th, South African Ambassador Sizani met “Prof. van Zyl and Mr Fischer from the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) as well as Prof. Wolfgang Arens-Fischer and Prof. Gochermann from the Hochschule Osnabrück”

On previous occasions, Ambassador Sizani pointed out the importance of education to support South African economic growth; on his very first day at work, in 2016,  the Ambassador stated that education is a priority for the South African Government and, since that day, he has been dedicated himself to projects concerning the topic.

The reason behind the meeting was the demand for facing some of the South African education’s challenges, such as the low number of practical traineeships or the lack of cooperation between educational institutions and companies. The reunion was a perfect opportunity to share insights on the possibility of implementing the dual study project in South Africa, which would foresee a combination of theory and practice during the whole study.
