Wreaths and Songs at the Soviet military memorial in Treptow Park
On April 29th, wreaths were laid in honor of Soviet soldiers on the occasion of the centenary of the German War Graves Commission

The Ambassador of Russia in the Federal Republic of Germany S. Yu. Nechaev, the deputy of the Moscow City Duma V.M. Platonov, the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Berlin R. Viland and the head of the German People’s Union for the Care of War Graves, I. Vernicke, took part in the ceremony.
In spite of the pouring rain, the participants laid flowers at the military burial and honored the memory of Soviet soldiers who fell in the fight against Nazism during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Young artists of the children's choir "Spring", who performed on April 28, in the Berlin Cathedral with a special program dedicated to the centenary of the German Military Graves Commission, also attended the ceremony.
