The Concert will start at 19:00 with Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids who will perform their cosmically liberated Jazz with conch shell horns, costumes, and trancelike dance interludes which is a spiritual and entertaining experience in the tradition of Sun Ra’s Arkestra. It will be followed at 20:30 by Abdullah Ibrahim & Ekaya who has more than 50 albums from Township Jive to classical music.

These musicians are pioneers of South African Jazz and Abdullah Ibrahim shaped the history of his country music by his talented piano skills. During the Apartheid state in South Africa, Abdullah Ibrahim founded the Jazz Epistles with Hugh Masekela which became the most important bands playing political Jazz.
