With the UEFA Euro 2016 being held in Paris, the city of Paris in cooperation with the federal state of Berlin, the Centre Français de Berlin (CFB), and the Franco-German Youth Office organized for Berlin volunteers to partake in a volunteering programme.

As a result, 20 volunteers from Berlin will be helping the football effort in Paris during the Euro Cup this year.

The purpose of this undertaking is to form a two-person team – one Berliner and one Parisian – who will work together as “Paris-Berlin” in dealing with spectators and the general public.

The Berliner volunteers will have the chance to work in the fan zone and in the fan village also. However, CFB personnel will also be in Paris acting as a liaison between the city of Paris and the volunteers.

The transportation, accommodation and insurance will be covered for the volunteers, who will be spending 5 days and a total of 35 hours working per week.
