Over 80,000 people from all over Bavaria helped during the severe flood disaster in June. Their efforts prevented even worse damage and saved lives.

On July 18th, a grand reception was held at the Neues Schloss Schleißheim, together with Landtag President Ilse Aigner, as a sign of great appreciation and recognition.

Dr. Söder reiterated his unwavering support to the volunteers and his mission to significantly reduce bureaucracy while continuing to support emergency responders with good equipment; he also praised rescue organizations, including the police, fire brigade, BRK, water rescue services, DLRG, THW, and the Bundeswehr.
