According to the joint statement published by the UK government, British and Turkish officials discussed coordination on international crises, including developments in the Middle East, the Black Sea region and Ukraine. The framework also emphasized stronger collaboration in counter-terrorism, defence industries and economic relations. 

The Turkish Embassy in London and British diplomatic representatives have continued to support regular bilateral consultations between both governments. Officials underlined the importance of maintaining strategic cooperation at a time of increasing geopolitical tensions and evolving security challenges across Europe and neighbouring regions. 

The agreement follows several months of diplomatic exchanges between London and Ankara linked to negotiations on an enhanced UK–Türkiye Free Trade Agreement. Discussions also focused on migration management and efforts to combat organised crime networks operating across international borders. British authorities described Türkiye as an important regional and NATO partner for the United Kingdom. 

Defence cooperation remains a central element of bilateral relations. The two countries continue joint work on military technology, NATO coordination and regional stability initiatives. British and Turkish officials also reiterated their support for continued diplomatic dialogue on international security matters. 

Recent meetings in London demonstrate the role played by embassies and diplomatic missions in facilitating long-term strategic partnerships between allied countries. The UK government stated that cooperation with Türkiye remains essential for addressing shared security and economic priorities.
