The Embassy of Ukraine is promoting a musical charity event in Berlin to aid the Ukrainian people

The Ukrainian Embassy in Berlin is promoting a musical charity event, showcasing the talent of Ukrainian individuals living in Berlin.

The concert will take place on the 13th of October in the Berlin Philharmonic and is featuring the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine. The concert, named “Heart of Ukraine”, will be held under the patronage of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the FRN Andriy Melnyk.

The purpose of the concert will be to play music for the freedom of the Ukrainian people, in order to help people in need. The song lyrics will be concerning topics such as the Ukrainian people’s history. All profits will be donated to the village Billyi Kamin in Lvivska Oblast.

The orchestra will perform pieces from famous Ukrainian composers, such as Mykola Lisenko, Mykola Leontovich, Myroslav Skoryk, George Mayboroda, Danilo Stankovich, Dmitry Bortnyansky and Mikhail Verbitsky and will be conducted by Vasyl Vasylenko.

Performers include world renowned Liudmyla Monastyrska soprano, who is known for dramatic performances in opera; world renowned tenor Dmytro Popov; barytone Andrii Bondarenko; bass soloist Andriy Goniukov; violinist Dmytro Tkachenko; and tenor Mykola Sikora accompanied by the bandura ‘’Ukrainische Lautenzither”.
