Towards more Cooperation between the UN and Ukraine

A meeting is held to discuss how to implement the Government of Ukraine – UN Partnership Framework for 2018-2022

On the 12th of March 2019, a meeting hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between the ministries of Ukraine and organizations of the United Nations accredited in Ukraine were held.

The meeting regarded topics such as how to give attention to the issue of strengthening collaborations between the UN and Ukraine to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, gender equality and human rights. This would align with the goals of the implementation of the Government of Ukraine – UN Partnership Framework for 2018-2022.

Also, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya and UN Resident Coordinator, Human Coordinator Osnat Lubrani addressed the importance of good cooperation to support economic and social transformations in Ukraine. Further, the UN plays a vital role in highlighting the humanitarian needs of Ukrainian people affected by the Russian aggression and how to help and assist those.
