Affordable value-for-money entices tourists to Germany

Low prices and good value for money are the main reasons for tourists to visit Germany, but this is not the only reason. Germany has plenty of fantastic tourist attractions and unique sights to offer. Visitors from all over the world travel to Germany to see architectural treasures and fascinating places of natural beauty.

Travel and tourism in Germany has continued to increase over the past few years.

Since the fall of its world-renowned Wall, Berlin has busied itself with becoming one of the most stimulating creative and cultural centers in Europe. It has become a city of many faces known not only for its non-stop party lifestyle, but also for its rich historical attributes.

For Berlin, the most popular tourist attractions include the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. In addition, Berlin is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Modernism housing estates; the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin; and the Museumsinsel (Museum Island).

Many fear the long and freezing winter in Berlin, however Berlin has also become a top winter destination with Christmas markets offering festive cheer to all. The UK newspaper, the Independent, voted Berlin as one of the top ten popular destinations for winter and Christmas breaks. Also on the top ten list were New York, Paris and Bangkok. This list was compiled using the most searched for destination trips.

Beautiful attractions, along with great value hotels and restaurants ensure that Berlin is one of the most popular European destinations.
