The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the National Unification Advisory Council, held a panel discussion on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the “Berlin initiative” on June 18, 2019.

In the presence of H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Bum-goo Jong, Haesong Chun, Former Vice-Minister of the Reunification Ministry of the Republic of Korea, Dr. Seung-Shin Lee, Director General for policy planning of the Reunification Ministry of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Jong-bum Park, Deputy Chairman of the National Unification Advisory Council, Mr. Young-yoon Kim, Member of the National Unification Advisory Council, H.E. Ambassador Ina Lepel of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Ms. Katharina Landgraf, Member of Parliament and Chairwoman of the German-Korean parliamentarian group and Dr. Gerhard Wahlers, Deputy Secretary General of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation have attented to the event as speakers and panelists.

In addition, 80 Korean experts and compatriots were present as guests, discussing together with the panelists about the Korean Peninsula peace process and the role of Germany.
