Samarpan served as a prime example of India's cultural diplomacy strategy, focusing on the sacred Guru-Shishya Parampara (the centuries-old master-disciple lineage). By staging classical Odissi—a classical dance form originating from the eastern state of Odisha—the cultural centre provided audiences with a deep dive into the sculptural aesthetics, spiritual philosophy, and rhythmic complexity of the discipline.

Complementing the evening recital, the diplomatic venue hosted the workshop Odissi – Wholeness Within on August 21. Led by Dwibedi, the interactive session offered British dance students and movement artists an experiential understanding of the posture, facial expressions (abhinaya), and breathing techniques foundational to Indian classical performance, fostering educational and artistic exchange.
