On the 10th of May, 2016 at the Embassy of Ecuador in Germany, the exhibition "World Builder Migrante" of the artist and former professor of painting and natual drawing, Sigifredo Camacho, a native of Loja was inagurated. This event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions as Venezuela and the Ambassador of Honduras, among others, according the Foreign Ministry.

During the inauguration the Ambassador of Ecuador, H. E. Amb. Jorge Jurado spoke on the subject of migration as a phenomenon of change, and so, the exhibition is relevant to all migrants, but especially Ecuadorian ones due to the earthquake in the Ecuadorian coast in the last month of April, which will probably cause a new internal migration within Ecuador. On that point, he explained that in Ecuador an earthquake of such magnitude happens every 60 or 70 years.

The series “Migrante World Builder” is a need to assess when migrants are in search of better life, to transcend its borders and leave behind their roots, beginning their journey route, in search of better days. His work has been exhibited in the Polish capital of Warsaw, at the headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva and in various exhibition centers of Oslo in Norway. The exhibition of Mr. Camacho, addresses all aspects about migration, both as economic and as political but also other forms of emigration and immigration. His versatility was highlighted about the plastic artist, when he produced a series of portraits of personalities such as the former Ecuadorian President Jaime Roldós and the Pope John Paul II.

"The idea of why dignify it, it is precisely because the world's cities have been built by those migratory masses who moved one day," said Sigifredo Camacho.
