Amb. Rocío del Valle Maneiro González

H.E. Rocío del Valle Maneiro González is a senior Venezuelan diplomat who currently serves as Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Kingdom. She holds a Magister Scientiarum in International Economic Law & Integration and a Doctorate in Political Science from the Central University of Venezuela.

Maneiro González entered Venezuela’s diplomatic service in 1981 and has since held a series of increasingly senior posts. Early in her career, she served as Third Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with postings as Second Secretary in Ecuador, First Secretary in Colombia, Counsellor in Chile, and Minister-Counselor in Washington, D.C. at the Organization of American States and in Cuba. She was appointed Ambassador to Jamaica in 2000.

Her diplomatic career spans several decades and includes one of Venezuela’s most strategically important postings: she previously served as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, representing Caracas during a period of deepening political and economic ties between the two countries. Her long service in Venezuela’s foreign ministry has placed her among the country’s most experienced career diplomats. Her service has been recognized with high-level honours, including the Orden Francisco de Miranda and the Orden Almirante Brión.
