Amb. Macenje Florence Mazoka

Macenje Florence 'Che Che' Mazoka is a Zambian communications executive, advocate and diplomat with more than three decades of professional experience. She spent many years in broadcasting and communications in the United States and South Africa, including senior leadership work at the South African Broadcasting Corporation. She later entered diplomatic service and became Zambia's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, also holding accreditation to Ireland and the Holy See.

History

Bilateral ties between Zambia and the United Kingdom are structurally massive, deeply historic, and continuous, formalized immediately upon Zambia's independence in October 1964. The High Commission commands a magnificent, palatial red-brick Victorian architectural landmark—Zambia House—ideally situated at 2 Palace Gate in Kensington, overlooking Kensington Gardens and standing among the capital's premier diplomatic rows.

The High Commission in London functions as a high-powered operational command post executing advanced post-Brexit trade liquidity, green mineral resource diplomacy, and critical diaspora capital integration between Lusaka and Whitehall. Under High Commissioner Mazoka’s technocratic leadership, a primary structural mandate of the mission centers on operationalizing the UK-Zambia Green Growth Compact.
