The Ambassador
H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra
(Note: Seamlessly anchoring Thailand’s diplomatic reach across Western Europe, the Ambassador concurrently manages sovereign non-resident accreditation as Thailand's Ambassador to Ireland).
H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra is an exceptionally sophisticated, heavy-hitting career diplomat and multilateral policy technician who stands at the strategic absolute core of modern Thai foreign policy.
Ambassador Krishnamra possesses a highly distinguished pedigree across the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Bangkok, known for his mastery of complex structural negotiations, macro-regional security planning, and international legal mechanisms. Before his senior deployment to Western Europe, he commanded several of the highest-stakes institutional divisions at the MFA headquarters, serving with immense distinction as the Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and later as the Director-General of the Department of Protocol. His sharp executive agility was heavily relied upon to manage Thailand’s high-profile hosting of major global summits, including complex coordination frameworks for APEC.
Upon his commissioning by the Royal Thai Government to lead the premier station in London, he arrived in the UK capital to command the Queen's Gate mission. His leadership brings a highly quantitative, security-conscious, and culturally sophisticated approach to the Court of St James's. Reflecting his vast operational scope, he executed a high-stakes regional expansion in mid-2026, traveling to Dublin to present his Letters of Credence to the President of Ireland, dynamically positioning Thailand to secure crucial trade protections during Ireland's rotating leadership cycles in Europe. He is married to Mrs. Priabthip Krishnamra.
History
Bilateral relations between Thailand (formerly Siam) and the United Kingdom are structurally massive, deeply continuous, and centuries-old, tracking back to historic maritime treaties signed in the 17th century. The embassy occupies a grand, palatial architectural complex at 29-30 Queen's Gate in the exclusive diplomatic district of South Kensington.
The Royal Thai Embassy in London operates as a powerhouse operational command center executing advanced digital technology synchronization, post-Brexit free-trade alignments, and major cultural statecraft between Bangkok and Whitehall. Under Ambassador Krishnamra’s senior direction, a primary mandate of the mission centers on fully operationalizing the UK-Thailand Strategic Partnership.
Furthermore, the embassy drives world-class cultural and civic statecraft—headlining major public showcases such as "The Art of Thai Miniatures" during London Craft Week and launching high-impact tourism strategies like the “Healing is the New Luxury” holistic wellness campaign to support the more than one million British travelers visiting Thailand annually. Concurrently, its highly modernized consular division provides streamlined digitized passport updates, entry visas, and active civil protections to the extensive Thai professional, corporate, and academic diaspora community thriving across the British Isles.
