Amb. H.E. Juan Ernesto Lytton Snead Amarilla

His Excellency Juan Ernesto Lytton Snead Amarilla is the Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, presenting his credentials to King Charles III in February 2025. A diplomat with extensive experience in the energy sector and economic diplomacy, his mission in the UK focuses on strengthening bilateral relations, promoting a "green, inclusive, and global" Paraguay, and fostering investment and trade. His past governmental functions include serving as Chief of Staff for the Minister of Public Works and as a consultant to the Secretary of State and the State Department of Paraguay. He also provided consultancy on international negotiations between the Binational Enterprise and ERIDAY-UTE.

From 2017 to 2020, he served as the President of the U.S.-Paraguay Chamber of Commerce in New York, where he worked to build bridges between private enterprise and government.

Ambassador Snead holds a Degree in Law and Social Sciences from the National University of Asunción, Paraguay, and a Postgraduate (Master's) Degree in International Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He also pursued further studies in Washington and Paris.
