The Ambassador
Amb. Mohamed Abulkheir
H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Fathi Abulkheir is a career Egyptian diplomat with decades of experience in his country’s foreign service. He studied Economics at Cairo University, graduating in 1988.
He joined Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Diplomatic Attaché and over the years, he served in several overseas missions: among them Rabat (Morocco), Washington D.C., Geneva, and Tunis. Between 2011 and 2014, he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the Egyptian Embassy in Morocco.
Domestically, he held senior positions in Cairo as well: from 2014 to 2015, he was Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Mashreq Affairs, and then from 2015 to 2016, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for International Specialized Agencies.
In October 2022, he became Consul General of Egypt in London.
