The Embassy of Mexico congratulates Claudia Cabrera, Winner of the Goethe Medal
The Goethe-institute recognizes Cabrera’s contribution to the dissemination of the German language and culture

The Mexican embassy in Germany, would like to congratulate Claudia Cabrera for the award given to her by the Goethe-Institute, the Goethe Medal, thus recognizing her invaluable contribution to the dissemination of the German language and culture.
Claudia Cabrera is a Mexican translator and has translated more than 60 literary works in German into Mexican Spanish. She is founder and president of the Mexican Association of Literary Translators. Claudia Cabrera is the first Mexican woman to receive the Goethe Medal.
The Mexican Embassy in Germany worked closely with Claudia around the work of Anna Seghers in Mexico, the Mexican tradition of asylum in the years of National Socialism and contemporary cultural diplomacy.
