Amb. Mr. Alexander Williams

His Excellency Mr. Alexander Williams is the High Commissioner of Jamaica to the United Kingdom, based in London.

A qualified attorney, he practiced law for over thirty years before entering public service. Between 2012 and 2016, he served as a Senator in the Jamaican Parliament, participating in Joint Select Committees on issues such as banking, insolvency, oversight, corruption, and integrity.

He has also held leadership roles in national institutions: he was President of the Jamaican Bar Association and Chairman of the Jamaica Anti‑Doping Commission.

Since taking up his role in London in 2023, his work has focused on strengthening Jamaica–UK relations, supporting the Jamaican diaspora, and promoting trade and investment.

He has also engaged in prominent community and health initiatives, encouraging Jamaican charities and diaspora organisations in the UK to support blood donation campaigns to help fight sickle cell disease.
