H.E. Mr. Arindam Bagchi is a high-profile career diplomat from the 1995 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) with vast experience in strategic communication, crisis management, and bilateral relations. Before his appointment as India's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, he gained widespread international prominence as the official Spokesperson and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, skillfully navigating India's public diplomacy through major global geopolitical shifts.
Ambassador Bagchi’s distinguished career includes serving as India’s Ambassador to Croatia and as Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka. He also brings direct experience in multilateral diplomacy from his previous assignment at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in New York, alongside a stint in the Prime Minister’s Office. His background in management, combined with his sharp communication expertise, makes him a formidable advocate for India’s interests in the multilateral arena.
