Amb. Aly Diallo

H.E. Aly Diallo is a career Guinean diplomat, currently serving as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea to the United Kingdom, as well as being accredited to Ireland and Iceland.

He began his diplomatic career in 2004, when he joined Guinea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over time, he took on increasing responsibility: by 2005, he worked as a Desk Officer in the Protocol Directorate (Ceremonial and Official Visits).

He studied at Kankan University in Guinea (Faculty of Social Sciences & Arts), earning a degree in the English Department between 2001 and 2004.

He was officially appointed as Guinea’s Ambassador to the UK on 3 March 2023. In addition to his UK role, he serves as Guinea’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Since taking up his post, Diallo has focused strongly on economic diplomacy. He has participated in trade and investment missions, seeking to deepen Guinea–UK economic ties and attract British investment in Guinea.
