The Embassy of Democratic Republic of the Congo in London

Amb. Pascal Emmanuel Joseph Gayama

His Excellency Mr. Pascal Emmanuel Joseph Gayama was the first Ambassador of the Republic of Congo to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. His Excellency presented his credentials to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 6th of April 2022, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between the Republic of Congo and the United Kingdom. After a brief yet impactful tenure in London, His Excellency was recalled in September 2023 to undertake other high-level assignments.

Prior to his posting in London, he served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Congo to the United Nations, where he was instrumental in advancing the country’s agenda within the international community. Before his distinguished service at the UN, His Excellency held the esteemed position of Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation of African Unity (now the African Union).
