H.E. Laura Sarabia Torres was formally appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the Government of the United Kingdom in September 2025, after she made history as the youngest Minister of Foreign Affairs in the world.

Ambassador Sarabia is an international relations specialist, political strategist, and holds a Master’s degree in Communication. She pursued her studies at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, the Universidad Externado de Colombia, and the Escuela Superior de Guerra, and later complemented her academic background with a specialisation in Political Marketing and Campaign Strategy.

Throughout her public career, she has served in a range of high-level positions, including Legislative and Communications Adviser to the Congress of Colombia, Political Adviser to the Party of the U, Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic, Director-General of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (DAPRE), and Director of Social Prosperity.
