Desislava Naydenova-Gospodinova

Desislava Naydenova-Gospodinova, born on April 18, 1979, has pursued a robust educational path, culminating in a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia in 2006. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in Comparative Politics and Foreign Policy from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2003. Her academic journey began at the Foreign Language High School Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov in Haskovo, where she completed her secondary education in 1998.

Naydenova-Gospodinova's professional career spans various diplomatic roles and responsibilities. From 2018 to 2023, she served as Counsellor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU Policies and Institutions Department, where she also headed the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Unit. Prior to this senior role, she held the position of First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Berlin from 2013 to 2018, contributing significantly to diplomatic relations and international representation.

Her career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began in 2005, initially with the State Protocol Department, before transitioning to the European Integration Department as an Attaché in 2007. She subsequently served as Press and Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in London from 2008 to 2011, showcasing her skills in public diplomacy and cultural promotion. Ms. Naydenova-Gospodinova's tenure in Berlin as Second Secretary from 2011 to 2013 further solidified her expertise in EU policies and international affairs, marking key milestones in her diplomatic service.

Throughout her career, Desislava Naydenova-Gospodinova has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing Bulgaria's diplomatic presence and fostering bilateral relations within the European Union and beyond.
