The Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow Exhibition was opened in Milan

Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Italy and the Consul General of Sri Lanka were present

The exhibition was opened on February 8th with a special event opening the long awaited Sri Lanka Country Pavilion and was followed by BIT International Travel Exhibition. The event was opened by Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Italy Daya S.J. Pelpola and Consul General of Sri Lanka in Milan Denzil Fonseka.

The International Travel Exhibition has been organized since 1980 and repeatedly brings together tourists and travelers from all over the world to Italy. As a part of the program more than hundred of conferences and seminars concerning the tourism industry were held.

Sri Lanka was promoted not just by the officers but also by many travel agents who travelled to Italy to meet with Italian travel and tour operators. The Intercultural Travel Exhibition serves as a place to meet people coming from all over the world and helps to foster mutual cooperation, acknowledgement and awareness.
