Tanzolymp - International Dance Festival

Tanzolymp is an annual Berlin-based dance event for young talents from around the world with workshops, seminars and competitions

Each year around 1000 young people aged between 10 and 21 from around the world meet in Berlin to share their love for dancing. The festival's motto "Dance as a global language" is reflected in workshops, classes and competitions where participants present their talent to the jury members. The main aim of the festival is to support and increase the popularity of dancing. It also provides insight into the variety of dance aesthetics and artistic styles.

Awards and Categories

The festival winners and exceptional talents will be awarded with scholarships for leading international ballet schools, but there are also a number of other rewards such as contracts, cash and press prizes. Considered a hub of the best talents by artists and experts alike, Tanzolymp is the start of an international career in dancing for many. The competition is divided into six different categories: Classical Dance & Neoclassical Dance, Modern Dance & Contemporary Dance, Character Dance & Folk Dance, Jazz, Pop, and Tap Dance. The festival is crowned with a grand final gala where the best performances chosen by the jury will be shown in front of a public audience.
