Swedish Embassy Highlights Swedish-German Cooperation in Sustainable Energy Innovation
Sweden and partners showcase energy transition achievements at SET Tech Awards
March 24th, 2026Sweden and Germany are jointly advancing innovation in sustainable energy systems across Europe, exemplifying the energy transition hashtag#MadeWithSweden. This collaborative approach was highlighted at the recent SET Tech Awards, where the close partnership between the two countries’ energy sectors and Swedish entrepreneurial innovation was prominently showcased.
At the awards, the Stockholm-based start-up Flower was recognized with the prize in the hashtag#CleanEnergy & Storage category. The achievement illustrates the impact of Swedish innovation in clean energy, particularly in developing AI-supported software and large-scale battery storage systems that enable flexible integration of renewable energy and contribute to stabilizing power grids—a critical factor in the success of the energy transition.
The Swedish Energy Agency, a partner of the SET Tech Festival, actively supports innovative energy companies such as Flower in accessing both domestic and international markets. Germany plays a key role in this cooperation. Through collaboration with the German Energy Agency (dena), the transformation of energy systems is being promoted in a targeted manner, while the export of Swedish cleantech solutions is simultaneously strengthened.
The Embassy congratulated Flower on its success and expressed appreciation to all participants of the Swedish-German Cleantech Platform who visited Berlin to gain insights into key German regions for the energy sector. The event underscored the importance of bilateral collaboration in fostering sustainable energy solutions, promoting clean technology innovation, and strengthening the Swedish-German partnership in advancing the energy transition.
