To commemorate World Children’s Day, Queen Silvia of Sweden, along with Ambassador Veronika Wand-Danielsson, took significant steps to advance child protection efforts. One of the week's key events was the laying of the foundation for a new Children's House at Charité Berlin, where multiple agencies—medical professionals, psychologists, youth ministry officials, justice representatives, and police—will collaborate to provide comprehensive support for children affected by abuse and violence. This coordinated approach focuses on the child's well-being, aiming to prevent retraumatization during legal and medical processes.

This initiative aligns with the 25th anniversary of the World Childhood Foundation, founded by Queen Silvia, which has tirelessly worked to safeguard children from violence and exploitation. The foundation's anniversary was marked by a celebratory dinner hosted by Ambassador Wand-Danielsson at her residence, where supporters of the foundation gathered to reflect on the progress made and reaffirm their commitment to child welfare.

The collaboration between Germany and Sweden exemplifies how international cooperation can lead to more effective, holistic approaches in child protection, ensuring a brighter future for those most vulnerable.
