Strengthening Bonds between German and Polish Senate Groups

In a meeting at the Federal Council, German and Polish senate groups underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations. Manuela Schwesig, as the Federal Council President, expressed gratitude for the visit of Polish delegates from the Polish Senate to the Federal Council. President Schwesig highlighted that Germany and Poland have been united by a friendship treaty for 33 years. Additionally, she noted that 20 years ago, on May 1, 2004, Poland joined the European Union alongside other Eastern European countries, strengthening Europe as a whole.

Topics included the strengthening of youth exchanges, economic relations, agricultural collaboration, scientific partnerships and transportation links.
