In 1996, she enrolled at the Faculty of Law and the University of Ljubljana, and in 2005 she passed the National Bar Exam. She then enrolled at the Diplomatic Academy and the University of Vienna , where she obtained a master's degree in international relations and a doctorate in the field of international law at the European Faculty of Law. Since 2015, she has been an assistant professor of international law, international relations and European law. She is the author of several works in her field of expertise and responsible editor of the International Law collection.
In 2003, she was employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia . In 2019, she was appointed as the ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Tokyo , Japan for four years. Since 2022, she has been the ambassador in Berlin.
Germany and Slovenia established diplomatic relations on the 15th of January 1992. The relations between the two states are both positive and harmonious. Germany has an embassy in Ljubljana and Slovenia has an embassy in Berlin and a general consulate in Munich. Both countries are full members of NATO and the European Union. In recent times, numerous high-level visits have highlighted the friendly relations between the two states.
