Eleven European cultural institutions along with embassies from EUNIC Berlin network displayed the diversity of European jazz and its roots and contemporary tendencies, with 37 different musicians from 17 European countries. Among them, Radovan Tariška Quintet, from Slovakia, presented his "Folklore to Jazz project".

From 27th September until 6th October My Unique Jazz Festival was taking place at the Schlot Art Factory, in Berlin. Musicians from all over Europe played together and let the wonderful jazz roots, dialects and impulses merge into a European sound.

The Saxofonist Radovan Tariška and his quintet represented Slovakia. The name of the project prefigures very intriguing fusion of two music genres, namely Slovak folklore with American jazz. The project features the most famous Slovak folk songs from various regions of Slovakia, which are enriched with harmonies and jazz rhythms. Performance of the Slovak group was supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
