An exhibition of Gamal Kamel at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt

“A witness of an era” – Paintings exhibition takes place in March 2019 at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Under the auspices of H.E. Amb. Badr Abdelatty, the Ambassador, the Cultural Counsellor of the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural Relationships and Director of Education Affairs Ahmed Ghoneim will host the opening of the painting exhibition “A witness of the era” on Thursday 8th March at 19:00.

Kamel, an Egyptian painter (1926-1986), won several prizes in Egypt and beyond. He used many technics, including pastels, aquarelle, gouache and oil. Throughout his artistic journey, he painted portraits with unique style, countryside landscapes, still-life or folkloric scenes. During his early period, he pioneered for book cover designs in Egypt.

The event will take place at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Stauffenbergstrasse 6-7, Berlin. Through the website of the Egyptian Bureau of Cultural Relations and Student Affairs (link below), interested can submit a confirmation of their attendance. The Embassy invites all interested to join and enjoy the opening event and the exhibition.
