The Christmas Party of the Portuguese Community in Berlin 2018 was held this Sunday at the TAK - Theater in Berlin. It had the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had high participation by the Portuguese Community resident in the capital. Gathered around Portuguese cuisine, evocative sounds and images of Portugal and playful animations directed to the little ones.

Once again organized by the association 'Friends of the Berlinda', the event was very lively and attended by a diversified program. This year was attended by the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Portuguese Communities, José Luís Carneiro, and the Portuguese Ambassador to Germany, João Mira Gomes.

Four scholarships were awarded to Portuguese students who distinguished themselves for their merit in school at the conclusion of 'Abitur' in Germany, in order to stimulate and encourage their pursuit of higher education. These grants are a recurring initiative of the Portuguese Embassy. They were offered by a number of sponsoring entities who responded positively to the appeal. And who again contributed this year to cherish young Portuguese-descendants living in Germany for the development of their studies.
