Patio Latino Brings the Spirit of Latin America to Neukölln
A day of music, culture, and community at the 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival

On June 28th, 2025, the Casa Latinoamericana in Berlin-Neukölln hosted “Patio Latino”, an open-air event organized as part of the 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival. The program invited Berlin residents to engage with Latin American culture through music, dance, food, and community activities.
Organized by Casa Latinoamericana, the event featured live music, DJ sets, dance performances, and creative workshops for children and adults. The program aimed to create a space for cultural exchange and interaction among participants.
Visitors found various food stands offering traditional Latin American dishes, along with spaces dedicated to crafts and children’s activities. Throughout the day, DJs played a selection of salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and other Latin genres, accompanied by live performances from local artists.
“Patio Latino” was part of the wider 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival, an annual event that highlights the district’s artistic initiatives and cultural diversity. The participation of Casa Latinoamericana reflected its ongoing commitment to community engagement, intercultural dialogue, and supporting the Latin American diaspora in Berlin.
The organization, which has been active for over 26 years, offers cultural programming alongside services such as legal advice, language support, and social assistance for migrants. Events like Patio Latino contribute to strengthening connections between migrant communities and the broader Berlin population.
