Oktoberfest Vietnam 2025 Expands to Three Cities
German beer festival marks 30 years of the German Business Association and 50 years of diplomatic relations
August 29th, 2025Vietnam will once again host Southeast Asia’s largest German beer festival this autumn, as Oktoberfest 2025 extends its celebrations across three major cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2025 begins at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi from 25 to 27 September, continues with a one-night gala at the Furama Resort in Da Nang on 3 October, and concludes with three nights of festivities at Hotel Nikko Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City from 9 to 11 October.
This year’s edition carries special significance, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the German Business Association (GBA) in Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam. Since its introduction in 1992, the Oktoberfest in Vietnam has become a cultural fixture, attracting growing numbers of visitors each year. The 2024 edition welcomed more than 10,500 attendees who enjoyed over 20,000 litres of imported German beer, and organisers expect even larger crowds in 2025.
The programme promises an authentic Bavarian atmosphere with German beer brewed according to traditional methods, a buffet of German cuisine, and a range of entertainment options. The O’zapft Band from Germany and Austria will provide live music, accompanied by folk dances, traditional games, and prize draws. Non-alcoholic options will also be available, ensuring the festival remains inclusive for all.
The festival is jointly organised by the German Business Association (GBA) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Beyond its cultural showcase, Oktoberfest also serves as a networking platform for the business community, highlighting the strong and growing partnership between the two countries.
As Vietnam and Germany mark important milestones in their bilateral relations, Oktoberfest 2025 is set not only to celebrate tradition and culture, but also to reaffirm enduring ties of friendship and cooperation.
