The composer organizations of the five Nordic countries are pleased to extend an invitation to Nordic Film Music Days 2026 in Berlin, taking place from the 13th to the 16th of February. You are welcomed to join fellow colleagues in cultivating professional connections, gaining perspectives from leading voices in the film and music industries, and enjoying film screenings along with a range of specially curated events.

For the tenth consecutive year, the programme will be hosted primarily at Nordische Botschaften (Felleshus), the European Film Market, and Orchestral Tools headquarters.

Since 2010, Nordic Film Music Days has served as a valued meeting ground for composers, musicians, producers, directors, and other creative professionals active in the music and film sectors. The event has fostered dialogue, inspired new collaborations, and supported continued learning and networking.

With more than 600 individual participants annually—including over 50 established Nordic composers—Nordic Film Music Days has steadily evolved into a recognised gathering point. It is now regarded as the place to meet for anyone attending the Berlinale with an interest in the craft, process, and artistry of scoring for film and television.

The Award
As an integral element of Nordic Film Music Days, the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award is presented to a Nordic composer whose contribution to a feature film, documentary, or television series exemplifies outstanding artistic achievement. Created by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, the award will be conferred during a dedicated ceremony on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Nordische Botschaften.

Seminars, Workshops & Screening
Earlier on the 14th of February, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the nominated composers—joined by additional Nordic colleagues—during speed-meeting sessions with producers and directors at the European Film Market.
Also on Saturday 14th, Nordic Film Music Days will facilitate a program of seminars and workshops designed to inspire dialogue, exchange expertise, and encourage professional growth.

On Sunday, 15th of February, the program concludes with screenings of the nominated works for the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award. These screenings, held in the auditorium of the Nordic Embassies, are open to the public free of charge.

On Monday 16th of February, guests will have an additional opportunity to engage with Nordic composers as part of the Nordic Film Commissions’ initiative, Nordic Monday, at Nordische Botschaften.
