Nigerian culture takes centre stage in Vienna

From 25th to 29th June 2024, the Nigerian Cultural Festival 2024 was successfully held in Vienna. This extraordinary event was organised by Egbe Omo Oduduwa Austria, the Yoruba Community in Vienna, in collaboration with the Embassy of Nigeria and with the support of the Weltmuseum Wien.

On 29 June 2024, the Festival concluded with the Adire International Carnival 2024, a vibrant parade that started at the Nigerian Embassy in Austria on Rennweg and ended at Heldenplatz. There, visitors enjoyed a programme of keynote speeches, captivating performances, and artistic presentations in the magnificent Hall of Columns of the Weltmuseum Wien - all free of charge!

Participants  were immersed in the vibrant world of Nigerian culture with stirring music, fascinating dance, and impressive art. In addition, various African artists provided a wide range of other exciting programme highlights.

The programme also included the Nigeria-Slovakia Business Summit on 25 June; an Exhibition by the Susanne Wenger Foundation in Krems, Austria on 26 June; the Nigerian-Austrian Business Summit on 28 June and the Adire International Carnival 2024 - Carnival of Peace and Unity.
