Myanmar Embassy Participates in Berlin-Asean Committee Activities
Myanmar Embassy strengthens diplomatic and cultural ties in Berlin

The Myanmar Embassy in Berlin actively participated in the Berlin-ASEAN Committee (BAC) events organized by the BAC Chair, the Ambassador of Lao PDR to Germany. The activities brought together ASEAN Heads of Mission and dialogue partners to promote cooperation and solidarity.
On 16 July 2025, BAC hosted a farewell lunch for the Ambassador of Viet Nam on the occasion of completing his tour of duty in Germany. Ambassadors and Charges d’Affaires of all ASEAN Embassies in Berlin attended the event, expressing congratulations and best wishes for the Ambassador’s future endeavors.
Earlier, on 20 May 2025, the BAC Chair convened a committee meeting with all ASEAN Heads of Mission. Discussions focused on the regular scheduling of BAC meetings, joint organization of ASEAN Day and ASEAN Sports Day, and hosting working lunches and dinners with ASEAN Dialogue Partners. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and regional cooperation among ASEAN missions in Berlin.
Additionally, a working lunch between BAC and New Zealand, an ASEAN Dialogue Partner, was held on 27 May 2025 at the Maritim proArte Hotel. The event provided a platform for exchange of ideas and collaboration opportunities between ASEAN Embassies and partner countries.
During the farewell lunch on 16 July, the Heads of Mission expressed their appreciation to the Ambassador of Lao PDR and his team for organizing various BAC activities. Myanmar Embassy’s participation in these events highlights its commitment to fostering stronger diplomatic, cultural, and regional ties within ASEAN and with international partners in Berlin.
