Mandela Tribute Concert: Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Special Guests will perform live at the Colombia Theater in Berlin on the 20th of July 2018.

In order to honor and remember Nelson Mandela, the South African group Ladysmith Black Mambazo will perform a Tribute Concert, with the South African Indie-Pop band Dear Reader as a special guest and DJ Floyd Lavine for the after-show party.

It all started in the 1970th, when they established themselves as South Africa’s most successful A Cappella formation. And they first became famous on a global level with their legendary album “Graceland” by Paul Simon. Since then they have won five Grammys and have been nominated for 19 more. They entertain their global audience with beautiful singing and impressive high level choreographies for more than five decades.

Nelson Mandela understood Ladysmith Black Mambazo as a cultural institution and invited them as musical guests for the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo and his adjuration as the President of South Africa in 1994.

The event will take place on the evening of the 20th of July 2018, in the Columbia Theatre, starting at 8 PM. Tickets cost 31 euros and can be purchased online (koka36.de).
