Within the project Luxembourg musicians and bands on the road in Germany organized by music:LX, the musician Sabine Weyer will perform at the Philharmonie in Berlin on the 27th of March.

Considered one of the best amongst the new generation of Luxembourgish pianists, Sabine Weyer has already performed in Europe and Asia. In September 2015 she performed at the MG Concerts in Brussels and in October 2015 at the Salle Cortot Paris in the Philharmonie of Luxembourg. Furthermore, in April 2016 she will be at the Auditorium Coeur de Ville in Vincennes. She graduated cum laude at the Conservatoire National de Région de Metz in France.

Weyer’s first album “Images”, recorded at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, was released internationally in Autumn 2015. She chose to bring together on the disc interpretations of Rameau and Debussy, composers born some 180 years apart. Since September 2015 Sabine has been teaching at the Conservatory in Luxemburg-City.

In Berlin she will perform J.S.Bach’s Concerto in A Major N.4 BWV 1055 with the Berliner Camera-ta in occasion of the Exclusive Easter benefit concert.

As said before, the event is part of the event organized by Music:LX | Luxembourg Export Office, a non-profit organization and network created in 2009. It’s mission is to develop Luxembourgish mu-sic of all genres around the world and to promote professional exchange between Luxembourg and other territories providing support, information, networking and promotion. In this way music:LX works as a bridge between Luxembourg and other countries, simplifying and encouraging the spread of music and culture. The music landscape of Luxembourg is full of possibilities and from March to August several musicians from there will exhibit all around Germany. In Berlin there will be concerts at the Panorama Bar (Berghain), the Philharmonie, Pianosalon Christophori, Urban Spree and at B-Flat, Berlin. The genres will range from Classic to House / Techno, Wonky / Dreampop and Jazz. The concert of Sabine Meyer will take place on the 27th of March at 8 pm in the Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie.
