Korean Ambassador Participates in the 2025 European Conference of the IAKL
Developing networks between Korea and Europe in the legal sector
June 24th, 2025Ambassador Sang Beom Lim participated in the 2025 European Conference of the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL), hosted by the renowned German law firm Noerr at its Berlin office.
Established in 1988, the International Association of Korean Lawyers is a worldwide network for lawyers interested in Korea and Korean legal practice. Its scope ranges from major law firms in Korea, in-house counsels, lawyers of Korean descent working worldwide, to international lawyers practicing in fields related to the Korean market.
The 2025 European Conference of the International Association of Korean Lawyers provided an opportunity to connect Korean legal experts with European legal practitioners and exchange insights and perspectives, particularly on cultural and structural differences between the Korean and German legal systems.
The Korean Ambassador gave an opening speech to congratulate the event organizers and recognize the contributions of Korean legal professionals active across Europe. He then expressed hope that the conference would contribute to further strengthening solidarity and cooperation among Korean lawyers worldwide.
The participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Germany reflects the Embassy’s willingness to support not only young Korean professionals in various fields, but also to promote trust and dialogue across cultural boundaries. By organizing annual conferences to network with legal professionals engaged in Korea-related practice areas, IAKL has fostered professional connections related to Korea for over 3,500 lawyers from 23 countries.
