The Karneval der Kulturen is the largest manifestation of cultural diversity in Germany and Berlin's No.1 street parade is now also a permanent fixture.
It celebrates the city's diverse cultural landscape, showcasing music, dance, art, and cuisine from around the world. At the four-day street festival, bands from Berlin find a big stage and enthusiastic listeners. With free admission, the ears and legs of the visitors go on a musical world tour. From Anatolian jazz to Afrobeat, Japanese fusion rock, mestizo music and Balkan beats - our stages show the unlimited range of Berlin's musical landscape! In the area “Shanti Town” of the street festival, committed associations and companies stand for respectful treatment of the environment, as well as traders who sell food from their ecologically sustainable businesses or the Berlin 'Food Truck' movement. At the heart of the festival, the "Rasen in Aktion" is a colourful oasis with participatory events for people of all ages. There is room for imaginative design, juggling, dancing or simply taking a deep breath. A wide range of culinary delights and arts and crafts from Berlin and around the world complete the street festival.

In order to prevent this, it is important to protect the entire area as quickly and permanently as possible. That is why the Tempelhofer Feld is to be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in order to protect it in the long term.

"Kayan" means existence in Arabic. The "KAYAN Project" unites musicians from Israel, Syria, Poland, UK and Iran around singer Eden Cami in Berlin. With Ud, double bass, percussion, piano, trumpet and Iranian Kamancheh, they mix classical and modern music, Levantine poetry with jazz elements, accompanied by Arabic-Hebrew singing.

Astrid is versatile, enigmatic and theatrical. Her vocal skills range from contemporary styles to dramatic opera soprano operations as well as profound harp playing.
