Italian Cultural Institute In Berlin Honours Giuseppe Sinopoli
International programme celebrates renowned Italian conductor
June 23rd, 2026The Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin launched the international cultural programme “Sinopoliana” in 2026 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of renowned Italian conductor, composer, archaeologist, and intellectual Giuseppe Sinopoli.
The initiative includes concerts, exhibitions, lectures, publications, and cultural events held throughout the year in Berlin, Rome, Venice, Dresden, and other cities. The programme aims to highlight Sinopoli’s artistic legacy and his contribution to European music and culture.
The inaugural event took place in Berlin in April 2026 and was supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin. The programme brings together musicians, scholars, and cultural institutions from different countries, encouraging international dialogue through music and the arts.
Through this initiative, the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin continues to promote cultural diplomacy by preserving shared European cultural heritage and strengthening cooperation between Italian and German cultural institutions.
