At the beginning of September, the Singapore Embassy in Germany hosted a vibrant National Day reception, celebrating the long-standing partnership and enduring ties between Singapore and Germany. The event, held at the Embassy, saw a remarkable gathering of esteemed German dignitaries and members of the diplomatic corps.

Ambassador Lee, alongside the Guest of Honor, Ambassador Frank Hartmann, Director-General for Asia and the Pacific at the Federal Foreign Office, highlighted the excellent collaboration between the two nations. In their speeches, both ambassadors emphasized the mutual desire to further strengthen cooperation in various sectors, from trade to cultural exchanges, reaffirming the solid bond between Singapore and Germany.

The reception featured an array of Singaporean culinary delights, with the iconic laksa from Ma-Makan being a crowd favorite. Guests were also treated to a captivating musical performance by two talented Singaporean musicians, Heather Tan and Ronan Lim, whose melodies added a touch of cultural flair to the evening.

The event was a testament to the enduring friendship between the two nations, celebrating not only the diplomatic ties but also the shared values and aspirations.
