On Sunday, July 6, 2025, the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK) in Dahlem, Berlin, hosted a live culinary demonstration titled Olivenöl und Pa amb Tomàquet. The event celebrated Spanish and Mediterranean gastronomy through one of Catalonia’s most iconic traditional dishes.

The open-air summer celebration featured live music, games, and cultural activities designed to highlight the Goethe-Institut’s ongoing mission of connecting Germany and Spain through education and the arts. Guests of all ages were welcomed to enjoy a festive evening complete with a lively bar, interactive stations, and a program reflecting the youthful spirit of the initiative.

With “Forever Young” as its theme, the celebration honored not only the past decade of educational programming but also the future of German-Spanish cultural collaboration. Representatives from the institute and local partner organizations were present to highlight the importance of youth-focused language programs in strengthening bilateral cultural diplomacy.
